Reusable equipment configurations
Reuse sub-equipment for tube rolling and modular hi-fi setups.
Define the shared part of a setup once, then add only the component that changes in each complete equipment configuration.

Why reuse sub-equipment?
Without reuse, every amplifier variant would repeat the same four tube records. Reusable sub-equipment keeps those shared components in one equipment record, so their identity and accumulated usage stay connected.
Build the shared amplifier core once
Amplifier without rectifier tubes contains Left input tube, Right input tube, Left output tube, and Right output tube.
Add only the rectifier that changes
Amplifier with rectifier 1 reuses the shared amplifier and adds Rectifier tube 1. Amplifier with rectifier 2 reuses the same shared amplifier and adds Rectifier tube 2.

Track each complete configuration
Each complete amplifier belongs to its own listening system, so the selected rectifier follows only the sessions for that configuration.

See how usage is attributed
After a 30-minute session with Rectifier tube 1 and a 45-minute session with Rectifier tube 2, every shared input and output tube has 1h 15m of recorded usage. Rectifier tube 1 has 0h 30m and Rectifier tube 2 has 0h 45m.

Use the same idea beyond tube rolling
Reusable sub-equipment also helps when several complete configurations share a stable equipment core and differ only by one or more replaceable parts.
